Are there any sites to search for people for free?

I am looking for my biological family. I need information on sites that are free to search for people.

3. The GenForum people can sometimes do wonders. Read a dozen posts and responses before you post there, however, to get a feel for what works and what doesn't. The Google directory is for sites where adoptees and bio parents meet. They usually don't work unless both sides are looking for each other. Some of the sites they list charge fees, too.
